BRACKEN RIDGE KINDERGARTEN OPEN DAY Bracken Ridge Kindergarten invites you to join us for our 2022 Open Day on the 11th of June from 9.30am to 11.30am.
We are a community-run, not-for-profit kindergarten offering an approved kindergarten program by qualified early childhood teachers specifically designed for pre-prep children.
Our kindergarten was set up in 1976 and has been nurturing and educating pre-school age children in the local community for over 40 years. Since 2011 we have been affiliated with The Gowrie (QLD) Inc. as our Central Governing Body.
One group of 22 kindergarten aged children attends our kindergarten each day. Our Green group attends kindy each Monday, Tuesday and alternate Wednesday and our Gold group attends each Thursday, Friday and alternate Wednesday.
We have a shaded grassy playground where children pretend, run and play. Cooling summer breezes and abundant bird life make our setting very enticing. Our playroom is large and airy and our Centre is well resourced.
Bracken Ridge Kindergarten is a wonderful place for your children to feel safe and secure as they grow, develop and prepare for school. In 2020 our Kindergarten was re-assessed under the National Quality Standards and has been assessed to be Meeting National Quality Standards.
In February each year, at our Annual General Meeting, the members of the Kindergarten Association elect a management committee made up of parents of children at the Kindergarten.
The Management Committee and the Nominated Supervisor are responsible for managing the Kindergarten. They set budgets, employ staff, make application for capital grants, organise the maintenance and cleaning of the Kindergarten, develop policy, ensure Workplace Health and Safety compliance and organise fundraising and social activities. The Nominated Supervisor ensures the smooth operation of the Kindergarten on a day-to-day basis.
The commitment of our Parent Committees each year ensures that we have a stable, well run and viable Community Kindergarten. Without the generous involvement of our parent body, we would not have a Kindergarten.
