The Bracken Ridge Difference

Highly Qualified Support

Our teaching staff includes two highly qualified teachers and two educators, supported by an Administration Manager. Our team boasts over 26 years of combined experience and continuously participates in professional development, ensuring your child receives the highest quality education and care from experienced and dedicated professionals.

Long and Short days

Our long and short day options give your family the flexibility to choose what best suits your schedule and your child’s individual needs. Whether you prefer longer days or more frequent shorter sessions, we provide a safe, nurturing environment that supports both your routine and your child’s wellbeing. This flexibility helps working parents manage their time effectively, knowing their child is well cared for.

Library Excursions

By taking advantage of our proximity to the Bracken Ridge Library, we can offer regular excursions that enrich our curriculum. These visits allow children to engage in reading activities and borrow books, fostering a love for literature and enhancing their literacy skills. Our library excursions provide a unique and valuable addition to our educational program, encouraging lifelong learning and curiosity.

So happy we found this beautiful kindy. Such a supportive and kind environment, they are helping us prepare our little one for school so well. We are pretty new to Bracken Ridge and the kindy has also helped us connect with the community. Highly recommend

It has been a great experience for us in this Kindergarten. The Teachers and the staffs are very supportive of the children as well as of the families. They take care of each and every thing you have concerns for your child. They provide a wonderful ambience of play, activities from which your child can learn through play. We are very happy to be part of this amazing Kindergarten

Bracken Ridge Dad - 2021

My twins attended a private preschool and then we were accepted to BRK. I was hesitant about a community program but the play, the friends, the teachers are so fantastic. My boys absolutely love their kindy and we never experienced this kind of joy and community in our last private daycare. As a working parent it feels good to know your kids are happy, safe and love attending.

Nicola McKellar

teacher

Nicola is our green and gold group teacher. She has extensive experience and an infectious enthusiasm for early childhood education. Her deep commitment to fostering engaging, play-based learning environments, along with her warm and nurturing approach, makes her a wonderful addition in the classroom.

“I’m an Early Childhood Teacher from NSW, having recently moved to sunny Queensland. I am blessed to have four beautiful grown-up daughters and an amazing life partner.

I have been teaching since 1994 (yes, I’m getting on, but I’m totally young at heart!) and feel so lucky to be able to work with little humans and their families each day.

I am inspired to provide thought-provoking learning spaces that are challenging and fun. I have a genuine love and appreciation for learning through play and child-led programs, and I gain so much satisfaction from watching children grow and learn in their own unique ways.”
