The Big Picture
A year of steady growth, and a really solid foundation to build on
We wanted to make sure we walked you through everything clearly, in plain English, with no jargon. The short version? Your website is doing its job well. Families in Bracken Ridge and the surrounding suburbs are finding you, they're reading what you've put up there, and they're downloading your prospectus. That's exactly what you want to see.
Over the past year (June 2025 to June 2026), 2,210 people visited your website. That's up slightly on the 2,169 who visited the year before, which is a nice, steady result. What we find really encouraging is that the total number of visits (we call these "sessions") stayed almost identical year on year: 2,893 this year versus 2,891 last year. The site is keeping its audience. New visitors are up too, from 1,817 to 1,885. Fresh families are discovering Bracken Ridge Kindy online, which is exactly what good SEO (that's the practice of making sure Google shows your site to the right people) should achieve.
The one thing worth noting is that visits from Google Search came down a little this year, from 1,512 sessions to 1,220. We'll dig into this properly in the Google Search section, but the headline is: your Google visibility is actually strong and growing. The shift is almost certainly down to how GA4 (Google's analytics tool) assigns traffic to categories, and it doesn't change the fact that the website is pulling in a healthy number of visitors month after month.

Where Visitors Came From
Traffic
Every time someone lands on your website, their visit gets tagged with how they got there. The four main channels for Bracken Ridge Kindergarten this year were: Direct (people who typed your web address straight into their browser or used a saved bookmark), Organic Search (people who found you by typing something into Google), Organic Social (people who clicked through from Facebook or Instagram), and Referral (people who clicked a link to your site from another website).
The interesting story this year is in the Direct traffic: it grew from 1,338 sessions last year to 1,608 this year, a jump of about 20%. That tells us your brand recognition is genuinely strong. When families already know your name and go looking specifically for you, that's a great sign. Organic Social stayed consistent, and Referral traffic jumped from just 2 sessions last year to 24 this year, which suggests you're starting to get mentions and links from other local sources online.
Organic Search (Google) came in at 1,220 sessions this year versus 1,512 last year. That looks like a drop, but before you worry: the actual number of times your site appeared in Google search results, and the clicks you received from Google, were strong all year. We'll explain this more in the next section. The short version is that some of these visits were likely counted differently in the new reporting period.
Sessions by Channel: This Year vs Last Year
Channel What it means This Year Last Year Engagement Rate (CY)
Direct Typed your URL directly or used a bookmark 1,608 1,338 27.9%
Organic Search Found you by searching on Google 1,220 1,512 62.0%
Organic Social Clicked through from Facebook or Instagram 35 33 77.1%
Referral Clicked a link from another website 24 2 45.8%

The engagement rate on Organic Search was 62%, and Organic Social visitors were engaged at 77%. These are good numbers. An "engaged session" (Google's term for a visit where someone actively looked around for more than 10 seconds, visited multiple pages, or took an action) tells us the people coming through Google and social media are genuinely interested, not just clicking and leaving straight away.

Google Performance
Your site appeared in Google almost 23,000 times this year
This is the really exciting bit. The Search Console data (a tool that shows us exactly how your site performs in Google) covers the past 16 months, giving us a solid full-year picture. Over the 12 months from June 2025 to June 2026, your website appeared in Google search results 22,781 times. That's called "impressions," and every single one of those is a moment where a local parent could have seen your listing. From those appearances, 835 families clicked through to your site.

Your average position in Google search results was around 18 to 20 overall, which sounds low, but remember: that average is dragged down by very competitive broad terms like "kindergarten brisbane" where every kindy in Queensland is competing. For the searches that actually matter, your rankings are outstanding. Read on.

Top search queries
The table below shows the search terms that brought people to your site. The "position" number is your average ranking in Google for that term (position 1 is the top result). A 35% click rate on your own name is excellent, by the way. Most branded searches don't even hit 30%.
Search Term Clicks Appearances Click Rate Avg Position
bracken ridge kindergarten 388 1,109 35.0% #1.6
bracken ridge kindy 129 315 41.0% #1.1

community kindergarten near me 8 223 3.6% #12
kindy near me 7 263 2.7% #16
free kindy qld 1 422 0.2% #7
kindergarten brisbane 2 292 0.7% #84
community kindy near me 6 451 1.3% #18

One to flag: "free kindy qld" is showing 422 appearances but only 1 click, giving a click rate of just 0.24%. Your site is ranking at position 7 for this term, which is really good, but families searching it aren't clicking. This is what we call a high-impressions, low-CTR opportunity. It usually means the page title or description showing in Google isn't compelling enough for that search intent. This is one we'd love to work on with you.

Monthly Google clicks trend

Top pages in Google
The bar chart below shows which pages on your site appear most often in Google. Your homepage dominates, which is expected. The Enrolment and Fees page has 10,491 appearances but a click rate of only 0.47%, meaning it's showing up for a lot of searches but not getting clicked. That's another opportunity worth discussing.

Referrals and AI Search
Other websites sent 24 visits your way, and that matters more than it sounds
Referral traffic means someone on another website clicked a link that took them to yours. This year you had 24 referral sessions, up from just 2 last year. That's a big percentage jump and a sign that other local sites, directories, or community pages are starting to include or mention your kindergarten online. Every referral link is also good for your SEO because Google sees external links as a vote of confidence in your site.
On the subject of AI search: tools like ChatGPT, Google's AI Overview, Perplexity, and Microsoft Copilot are now answering questions like "what are the best community kindergartens near me?" before people even visit a website. Unfortunately the data available to us doesn't break out AI referrals specifically for your site, but the strong brand keyword rankings and the healthy referral growth suggest your site is well-positioned as this landscape continues to shift. This is something we'll keep an eye on in future reporting periods now that we have a baseline.

The fact that you're ranking at position 7 for "free kindy qld" and appearing in Google 22,781 times annually means the content on your site is relevant and trusted enough that Google is actively surfacing it. That's the foundation AI search tools use to pull their answers too, so you're in a good spot.

How Visitors Engaged
Page views, downloads, and what families actually did on the site
Once someone lands on your site, the question is: do they stick around and explore? For the most part, yes. Total page views for the year came in at 4,393 (compared to 4,816 last year), which is a slight decrease, but one that tracks proportionally with the small dip in organic search traffic.
The prospectus PDF was downloaded 104 times this year. That's families actively choosing to learn more, taking a file away with them to read. That's a meaningful action. In previous years it was 127 downloads, so there's a small dip there too, but 104 is still a solid number for a local community kindergarten.
The really encouraging data point: 8 families started a form on your site this year. The fact that form tracking is showing anything at all is useful, but we know it's not capturing the full picture. Right now, there's no goal tracking set up in Google Analytics, which means we can't tell how many people actually completed an enquiry form, clicked to call you, or reached a confirmation page. Setting this up is our top recommendation, and we'll talk about it more in the Opportunities section.

The Waitlist page received 292 visits this year, up from 274 last year. Families are actively navigating to it, which strongly suggests intent. If we can set up goal tracking, we'll be able to tell you exactly how many of those visits turned into waitlist submissions.

What's Next
A few things worth considering for the year ahead
Everything below is a suggestion, not a commitment. These are just the things we noticed in the data that we think would make a real difference for your site in the next 12 months. We'll go through them together in our next catchup and work out what makes sense for you.
01
Set up goal tracking in Google Analytics
Right now we can see who visits and which pages they look at, but we can't see what they do next: whether they submitted an enquiry, clicked to call, or completed a waitlist form. Setting up goal tracking (also called conversion tracking) in GA4 means next year's report will tell us exactly how many leads the website is generating. This is the single most valuable upgrade we can make to your data setup.
02
Improve the Enrolment and Fees page for Google
This page appeared in Google 10,491 times but was only clicked 49 times, giving a click rate of 0.47%. That's low. It means families are seeing it in search results but not choosing to click. A refresh of the page title and meta description (the short preview text Google shows) to better match what parents are actually searching for could meaningfully lift the click rate on one of your most important pages.
03
Optimise for "free kindy qld" and similar broad terms
You're already ranking at position 7 for "free kindy qld," which means you're in the top 10 results in Australia for that term. But 422 appearances produced only 1 click. Adding a clear, dedicated section to the site that speaks directly to Queensland's free kindy funding program could turn this existing visibility into real traffic from families who are in the early research phase and not yet searching for you by name.
04
Build on the referral momentum
Referral traffic grew from 2 sessions to 24 this year. Getting listed in more local directories, community sites, and Queensland early childhood resources will keep building this, and each new link also helps your Google rankings. This is a low-cost, high-value activity we can help with.

We'll walk through all of these together in our next catchup and work out what makes sense for your site this year. Come with any questions and we'll take it from there.

Good things happening here
Honestly, the data here is really encouraging for a community kindergarten. You have consistent traffic, real brand recognition in Google, and families actively visiting the pages that matter most: Enrolment, Contact, and Waitlist. We're looking forward to watching this grow.
We'll go through all of this together in our next catchup and talk through how you'd like to improve the website this year. We can work through the opportunities, figure out what feels right, and map out a plan from there. In the meantime, if anything in this report raises questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
