Hours of Operation
2024
Kindergarten hours are 8.30am to 2:30pm (for both groups) Monday to Friday. After Kindy Care is also available in 2024 for our Green group until 4.00pm. Children attend 5 days a fortnight; 2 days one week and 3 days the alternate week.
2025
In 2025 we will be offering a long day program and a short day program. Lady Gowrie will determine the program for when the short days and longs are (meaning at the start of the week or the end of the week) at a later date and will advise as soon as possible.
The 3 short days will run 9am-2pm and the 2 long days will be 8.30am-4pm.
The kindergarten operates over four terms per year which align with the Queensland State School calendar.

Fees & Funding
Kindy programs in Queensland are a part-time educational program for children in year before they start Prep. It's 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year and from January 2024, is free for for all Queensland children attending a government-approved kindergarten program.
Funding is received from the Queensland Government, through our Central Governing Body, the Gowrie (Qld) Inc which funds the costs of education for each eligible child in our centre.
There are out of pocket costs for families that utilise After Kind Care, and to those who are not eligible for the Free Kindy funding. Please reach out if you have any questions about this.
